Fort XI Duńkowiczki is one of the best-preserved parts of the outer ring of the Przemyśl Fortress – one of the largest fortresses in Europe at the turn of the 20th century. During the First World War the fort saw active combat, and its walls still bear witness to the Russian assaults and the dramatic sieges of the fortress. The mobile audio guide app leads you through the key parts of the fort: the barracks, armoured batteries, caponiers and traditors. Commentary based on historical sources and enriched with archival photographs helps you imagine the scale of the fortifications and the everyday life of the soldiers. You can download the app from the App Store and Google Play.
