Góra Birów in Podzamcze is a steep Jurassic hill dotted with white limestone rocks, near the ruins of the mighty Ogrodzieniec Castle. On its summit a wooden fortified settlement has been reconstructed, surrounded by a palisade, with a gate, a watchtower and the chieftain's hut, and inside medieval warriors await visitors. Archaeologists have found traces of settlements here from the Vandals to a Piast garrison of the 13th century. We prepared an audio tour that leads from the castle gate through Podzamcze and the forest up to the stronghold, and then around its interior. The narrator talks about the Trail of the Eagles' Nests, the Miniature Park and the work of archaeologists. The recordings were made in an adult and a children's version, in Polish.
