The Suwałki Region is enchanting, and the jewel in its crown is Lake Wigry, protected by one of the largest national parks in Poland. To prepare well for an encounter with this beautiful place and its attractions, both natural and cultural, we encourage you to visit the Wigry museums beforehand and make use of the audio guides on offer. The headquarters of Wigry National Park are located in the small village of Krzywe, situated slightly east of Suwałki. Nature and ethnographic exhibitions have been set up there. The modern nature exhibition introduces visitors to the unique world of Wigry – its landscape, animals and plants; equally interesting is the ethnographic exhibition showing how people lived by Lake Wigry at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
