Please look at the model of the medieval stronghold, which you will find in the lower left corner of the display case! In all likelihood, this is exactly what the Czarnków stronghold may have looked like when it was first mentioned in written sources. That happened in 1108 and was recorded by the hand of the famous chronicler of Polish history, Gallus Anonymus.This is how the audio guide begins, leading visitors through the small but interesting Museum of the Czarnków Land in Czarnków, Greater Poland. The exhibition is divided into several parts. In the first, we mainly get to know Czarnków in the Old Polish period; then comes the time of the Partitions and the 20th century. In the display cases we see archaeological finds, old portraits, numerous uniforms… Thanks to special technology, those interested can listen to extended versions of the commentary at selected exhibits.
