Anyone wishing to learn about the history of the Silesian Uprisings should go to the source – Upper Silesia. There, in Świętochłowice, right in the city centre, stands a hundred-year-old brick building whose restored interiors house the modern Museum of the Silesian Uprisings. The museum's fascinating exhibition is best explored with an audio guide. There were three Silesian Uprisings: in 1919, 1920 and 1921. The museum tells the story of their causes, the course of the fighting and their consequences in an engaging way, using numerous original memorabilia and multimedia. A major attraction of the exhibition are the gripping films starring, among others, Franciszek Pieczka and Marian Dziędziel.
