The Muzeum i Centrum Ruchu Harcerskiego (Museum and Centre of the Scouting Movement) is a branch of the Muzeum Krakowa (Museum of Kraków), housed in the restored Fort 52a “Łapianka” – a former fortification of the Kraków Fortress. The “Harcerskie ścieżki” (Scouting Paths) exhibition tells the story of the history, traditions and educational method of Polish scouting – from the early 20th century, through the years of the underground and the communist era, to the present day. Highlights include a replica of the Ford T from a round-the-world expedition and the basket of a balloon from a scout aviation unit. We produced audio guide recordings that lead visitors through the exhibition and let them explore it at their own pace. A separate family route introduces the history of scouting to younger visitors. The audio guide is available in Polish and English (also in a family version), as well as in a version with audio description for blind and partially sighted visitors.
