Muzeum Karkonoskie (the Karkonosze Museum) in Jelenia Góra grew out of the collections of the Riesengebirgsverein (Karkonosze Society), gathered from the 1880s onwards. Its present building, designed by Carl Grosser, opened in 1914, and the museum's greatest pride is its art glass collection – one of the largest in Poland. We prepared a mobile app for Android and iOS phones as well as an audioguide system. The recordings lead visitors through the permanent exhibitions – from archaeology and regional history to folk art and glass – and introduce the most interesting exhibits. The audio guide is available in Polish, English, German and Czech, as well as in a version with audio description for blind and partially sighted visitors.
