The Zabytkowa Kopalnia Srebra (Historic Silver Mine) in Tarnowskie Góry, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2017, is a former silver and lead ore mine opened to visitors in 1976. The route leads through the mining museum above ground and then 40 metres underground – through the Silver Chamber, the Collapse Chamber and a low gallery – all the way to a 270-metre boat trip. Nearby, in Repty Park (Park Repecki), lies the Sztolnia Czarnego Pstrąga (Black Trout Adit), one of the longest underground boat routes in Europe. We prepared a mobile app for Android and iOS with an audio guide to both sites. Nearly 30 recordings lead from the mine's foyer through the museum rooms and the entire underground route, telling the story of the old miners, galena mining and the region's mining traditions. The app is available in Polish, English, German, Czech, Ukrainian and Russian and includes a version with audio description, and in 2026 we prepared further language versions: Spanish, French, Italian, Lithuanian, Arabic and Japanese.
