The Orawski Park Etnograficzny (Orava Ethnographic Park) in Zubrzyca Górna is an open-air museum presenting the traditional architecture and everyday life of the people of Orava. At its heart stands the Moniak manor house, the oldest part of which dates from the 17th century. Around it are cottages, a forge, a sawmill, a fulling mill, an oil mill and an apiary. The museum opened in 1955. We created a mobile app for Android and iOS phones that works as an audio guide to the open-air museum. The recordings lead visitors from building to building and introduce the history of the region and the traditional occupations of its inhabitants – at their own pace. The audio guide is available in Polish, English and Slovak, as well as in a version with audio description for blind and partially sighted visitors and in Polish Sign Language.
