The Nadwiślański Park Etnograficzny (Vistula Ethnographic Park) in Wygiełzów is an open-air museum at the foot of a wooded hill crowned by the ruins of Lipowiec Castle. Spread over more than 5 hectares, it brings together 25 wooden buildings, mostly in the architectural style of the Western Kraków region – including cottages, a smithy and an oil mill, as well as a church from Ryczów dating from 1623 and the larch-wood manor house of the Bzowski family from Droginia, built in 1730. We created a mobile app for Android and iOS phones that works as an audio guide to the open-air museum. The recordings tell the story of individual buildings and of everyday village life in the past, and visitors can explore at their own pace. The audio guide is available in Polish, English and Slovak, in a version with audio description for blind and partially sighted visitors, and in Polish Sign Language.
