Miasteczko Galicyjskie (the Galician Town) is part of the Sądecki Park Etnograficzny (Nowy Sącz Ethnographic Park), opened in 2011. It recreates the small-town architecture of Galicia from the turn of the 20th century – among its buildings are a town hall modelled on an unrealised design for the town hall in Stary Sącz, a watchmaker’s workshop and a photographer’s studio. We created a mobile app for Android and iOS phones that works as an audio guide to the town. The recordings let visitors explore at their own pace and tell the story of each building. The app includes audio description for blind and partially sighted visitors and a version in Polish Sign Language, and the recordings are available in Polish and English, among other languages.
