The Muzeum Regionalne PTTK im. Ignacego Łukasiewicza (Ignacy Łukasiewicz PTTK Regional Museum) in Gorlice tells the story of the town where Łukasiewicz lived in the 19th century and which became one of the centres of the European oil industry. The exhibits include a prototype of the world’s first paraffin lamp. Separate displays are devoted to the Battle of Gorlice of 1915 and to the armies that fought in Galicia during the First World War. We created a mobile app for Android and iOS phones and supplied an audio guide system. The recordings lead visitors through the permanent exhibitions and introduce the most interesting exhibits, so everyone can explore at their own pace. The audio guide is available in Polish, including a version with audio description for blind and partially sighted visitors.
