The Park Krajobrazowy Puszczy Rominckiej (Romincka Forest Landscape Park) was established in 1998 in the north-eastern corner of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, on the border with Russia. It is 80% forested and in places resembles the taiga. In Stańczyki, two bridges 36.5 m high span the Błędzianka valley. We created the ‘Polska Tajga’ (Polish Taiga) mobile app for Android phones – a guide to the forest and its surroundings. It describes the area’s natural assets, educational trails, walking and cycling routes and viewing towers, and a planner helps visitors organise their trip. The app works offline, and with GPS the places it describes are easy to find in the field.
