Ustka cannot complain about a lack of attractions that draw tourists. It has a wonderful clean beach, a long promenade, spa traditions, historic monuments, a beautiful harbour… And these treasures are "guarded" by a fortress located on the dunes in the western part of the town, known as the Blücher Bunkers. Interestingly, you can go inside the bunkers and, with the help of the audio guide, take a peek at what everyday life was like in the concrete fortress. The Blücher Bunkers were built in Ustka in the interwar period, when the town still belonged to Germany. The Nazis assigned them a special purpose, which you will discover on site while touring the bunkers with the audio guide. After the war, the bunkers were forgotten and the mighty structures began to be covered by sand. In the 21st century, thanks to the work of a handful of enthusiasts, the bunkers came back to life as a tourist attraction.
