Gliwice, one of the larger cities of Upper Silesia, has a rich history and an interesting historic town centre. So there is plenty to show off to tourists, for whom special audio guides have been prepared as part of an ambitious project of the Silesian Tourist Organisation. The audio guide can be rented at the Tourist Information Point. Once the device is switched on, we are led from one attraction to the next. The tour runs like clockwork, because the recordings start automatically thanks to GPS technology. The walking route includes, among other things, the prestigious Zwycięstwa Street with its famous department store designed by Erich Mendelsohn. The audio guide also leads us to the charming Chopin Park and to the Palm House, which offers a respite after a walk through the bustle of the streets.
