Szczyrk, lying at the foot of Skrzyczne and Klimczok in the heart of the Silesian Beskids, is one of Poland's skiing centres, with the Skalite ski jumps and an extensive network of slopes. Yet the town also has another face: highland traditions, tales of the Klimczak brothers, the local outlaws, and historic sites such as the wooden Church of St James from 1800. We prepared an audio tour in versions for adults and for children. The route leads along Beskidzka Street past the Old Inn, to a chapel with a mission cross from 1730, along the promenade by the Żylica river to the ski jumps and on to St James' Church. We talk about skiing quite often, but we also tell you about the local highland culture. The tour is available in Polish.
